In Rape Zombie: Lust of the Dead 5, believing in the ultimate outcome, a group of scientists travel back in time to stop the spread of a virus that turns men into zombie rapists in society and causes them to finally discover the source of the deadly disease, causing them to try to stop it before it happens again.
For the final film in the series, this is somewhat problematic. The biggest problem with the film is the fact that this one really doesn’t make any sense of what’s going on because it’s a serious abuse of time travel. Supposedly rewinding to previous films in the series to change how the timeline plays out, this one makes a pretty annoying mistake of replaying scenes that originally happened and then having new footage of the actors observing instead of actively intervening in the process.
This creates an incredibly sloppy situation where the film really feels redundant, not doing anything new with the material but instead just repeating the same scenes over and over again. No matter how fun it is to watch those particular scenes again, this approach just makes the first part feel like stock footage instead of trying to create anything new with the story like the previous part tried.
