Set in 1969, the main character of Obsessed is Kim Jin-Pyeong (Song Seung-Heon), who has just returned to Korea after a period of time as a mercenary for the US during the Vietnam War. Thanks to his impressive achievements during the US invasion, he is highly trusted by the commander-in-chief, who is also his father-in-law, while most people in the military respect him.
