Empire of Lust

Empire of Lust Uncut is a film revolving around love, betrayal, loyalty and revenge when depicting the hardships in the process of building the Joseon Dynasty of the first prince, after the collapse of Koryeo. This is a quite attractive psychological action historical film with a beautiful young cast, many famous actors as well as many hot scenes. Although classified as 18+, the film is invested very elaborately from content, costumes to action scenes and above all, the cast is very beautiful from male to female. Director Sang-hoon Ahn of Empire of Lust has been very successful in recreating a dynasty with many temptations, the downside when the generals cannot overcome the so-called lust.

The Korean movie 18+ Empire of Lust is set in 1398 in Korea. Kim Min-Jae (Shin Ha-Kyun) is a general in the Joseon Dynasty. He is infatuated with a beautiful girl named Ka-hee (Kang Han Na) who is the same age as his son and puts his career in danger when she is just a card in a carefully drawn out plan of mutual elimination that makes the general more and more infatuated.

Yi Bang-Won (Jang Hyuk) is a prince and now he also has ambitions to become king. Jin (Kang Ha-Neul) is Kim Min-Jae’s son and the king’s son-in-law. As a royal son-in-law, he cannot participate in politics, but can only go out to find joy, he even wants to take advantage of his father’s girl, Ka-hee. He helps his father build this dynasty but he is not chosen to be the crown prince. He still harbors the desire to become king one day in the not too distant future. Life in the royal court is inherently unpredictable, when desire goes beyond one’s reach, success or failure becomes uncertain.
