A Muse

Based on the novel by Park Bum-shin, the Korean movie love and 18+ A Muse delves into the truth between the relationships that can happen between different generations, between young and old, that reality must accept. We have a philosophy teacher, a devoted student, and a foolish high school girl. The film explores the author’s personal thoughts on aging, human psychology, and the awakening of latent desires that lie hidden in each person, which can happen according to each person’s instincts and cannot be avoided, along with the complicated relationship of three people.

Lee Jeok-yo Von is a 70-year-old poet who is highly respected by many people. He cares for and has a lot of favor for his former student, Seo Ji-woo. However, the world of these two men is shaken when 17-year-old high school student Han Eun-gyo enters their lives, as their minds and sexual desires are awakened. Students tend to admire, love and look up to their teachers, but is the admiration and love reflected back by the teachers to their students? What happens when the relationship between students and teachers eventually turns into a love that transcends age?

Before participating in The Muse, actress Go-eun Kim was not famous or well-known, but she accepted to sacrifice for the role when she acted in many extremely naked and somewhat daring hot scenes, her debut film changed her life when she was later invited to participate in many other famous films.
